Story Time Book List
Stories give meaning to ideas. They allow us to walk a shared experience that can allow concepts to be internalized and conversations to get started. Because stories invite emotional investment, they foster deeper comprehension and stronger recall. The Bible is full of true stories. Jesus himself taught with stories.
I've been surprised by how many high-quality, sincere, deep stories I've dug up that each provide a unique and delightful contribution to the effort of guiding children (and to be honest, myself too) in reflecting on God and understanding who He is. I have the books cataloged here in a database. The complete list is displayed below. The filters can also be used to narrow the list. Story Bibles and theology books and devotionals are listed in their separate, respective collections.
